The initiative: Castells de Castelló

In the province of Castelló there are many cultural and heritage elements, among which we can highlight the exceptional natural sites and those elements that are vestiges/perpetuities of our past. Thus, medieval castles bear witness to the origins of the Kingdom of Valencia and some of the most famous figures have passed through them: Jaume I El Conqueridor, Violant of Hungary, Teresa Gil de Vidaurre, Don Blasco d’Alagó, Abu Zayd and many others.

As this is such an extensive historical moment and heritage, this cultural initiative will help you to get to know the history of the origins of our territory through forty of its castles.
